Alternate Dispute Resolution, Domestic Relations
The mediator is a neutral person who helps two parties in conflict find a solution. Participants in mediation have no obligation to reach an agreement.
Mediation is known in the court system as Alternate Dispute Resolution. As an alternative to having a judge rule in a lawsuit, the parties reach agreement between themselves with the help of a mediator.
The price for mediation services is $125 per hour. My communication style is direct; I won’t waste your time. The costs are normally split between the parties; it is reasonable to expect 2 to 4 hours to reach an agreement. You will leave with a written agreement signed by both parties at the completion of a successful mediation session.
I am on the registry of approved court mediators in the State of Indiana for Domestic Relations and a member of the Indiana Association of Mediators.
In mediation, I use my skills as a licensed counselor to recognize the emotions underlying the conflict while staying focused on finding a solution. With lower financial costs and increased hope of an agreement, it is wise to consider mediation as the less destructive and more productive choice.
I have experience in 100+ cases of helping couples reach agreement on custody and parenting time of their children. With years of experience in calming volatile situations, I have a passion to find workable solutions to complex problems in organizations and families.
