Katherine R Guy, LMHC

Licensed Mental Health Counselor

I’m licensed in Indiana as a Mental Health Counselor and Addictions Counselor. I’m also trained in EMDR, a form of therapy for people impacted by trauma. My office is virtual; I only provide services via Tele-health (some form of video such as facetime, skype, or zoom).

Clients often state the desire to meet with a Christian Counselor. Although I was raised in a traditional protestant church setting, politics and church organizations have messed up what any of it means. So, a spiritual focus is likely more practical. With your permission, I’ll incorporate your spiritual beliefs into our time together as it seems helpful for you.

I believe you matter, I believe you have inherent worth, and it’s an honor for me to meet with people for counseling.

I am an in-network provider with the following health insurance networks or plans:  Aetna (CHA listed on your insurance card), Anthem, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Cigna (see next paragraph), Community Health Alliance Network (CHA listed on your insurance card), Encore Network (Encore listed on your insurance card), Meritain (CHA or Aetna listed on your insurance card), and Sagamore Network (Sagamore listed on your insurance card).

Even if I haven’t listed your insurance plan, inquire with your customer service number on your card. As an example, I am not in-network with Cigna, but Cigna often uses the Sagamore or Encore network of providers, which I am in their networks.

Although many employers may tell you that you have 6 free counseling visits (or some other number), those are Employee Assistance Program (EAP) sessions. Unfortunately, I am unable to accept EAP benefits.

Insurance and fees can be confusing and intimidating. I’ll be happy to walk through all of it as best I can, or you can contact the number on your card.
